Beef Stew

This is a flavorful beef stew that's easy to make. I have made it in a crock pot, on the stove and in the oven, depending on my time and the weather. I don't like a lot of meat in my stew, and I think this is enough, though my husband likes it with 3 lbs meat. I like to serve it as is in a bowl, or you can serve it on a plate with brown rice. -- posted by Pesto lover

Hawaiian Haystacks

I got this recipe from my Mom who made this when we were visiting and it was so good, and my kids loved it! I've made it myself now several times, and it's such a quick and easy meal to do on a busy night. I like to make my rice using the chicken broth, it helps the rice to have a nice flavor, but you can just use water. -- posted by LDSMom128

Creamy white chocolate cheesecake with a graham cracker crust and topped with fresh berries (we use blueberries and sliced strawberries). We typically use a pre-made graham cracker crust but would be delicious with a homemade one, too! -- posted by Chef #631739

Why You Should Drink Rose Wines

Rose wines are often referred to by their drinkers as summer wines due to their light, crisp, refreshing characters making them ideal for summer drinking, but are often referred to by wine aficionados as a poor relative of the red wine! From the French: rose, meaning 'pinkish', is a wine that is nearly always made from red varietals (there are a couple of exceptions) It goes through the same process as red winemaking where the grapes are pressed and the juice sits with the skins, but in this case only for a day or two, to get a little bit of the reddish colouring and a small amount of the skin characteristics like tannin.

Home Brew Fermenter

Fermentation is basically the creation of alcohol which is done by mixing sugar, yeast and water. Yeast is a living organism and if the water is kept at the proper temperature the yeast cells will go to work on the sugar and react in a way that creates a combination of 50% alcohol and 50% carbon dioxide (which normally gets shaken out of the solution during the fermentation process).
