Chef Joey's Apple Strudel

I love apples and strudel is one of my favourite desserts to make. This one makes 4 strudels. You cook the apples and currants together before you build the strudel. It makes it so yummy. You can peel your apples if you wish. I used my food processor to slice the apples, it really is a time saver. You could half this recipe if you wanted to. Note: I didn't include the thawing time for the strudel, or the soak time for the currants. -- posted by Chef Joey Z.

Herbed Country Breakfast Potatoes

These are the country breakfast potatoes I cooked at a restaurant I once worked, which were served on weekends for brunch. They are easy to make, and may be prepared with or without tri-color bell peppers -- and of course they are delicious, with aromatic fresh herbs. I've tried making them with dried herbs, but there's just no beating the flavor of fresh rosemary and thyme (you can even sneak a little fresh sage in there too, if you've got it). Enjoy these hearty breakfast potatoes with your favorite eggs or omelet, or serve them the way I do (yes it may seem strange)... topped with my Recipe #363705 sauce! Mmm! -- posted by Bazaar®

Italian Winemaker Antonio Sangueneti Hosts Wine Tasting in Fort Lauderdale

Last night The Naked Grape Wine Bar in Wilton Manors hosted Italian Winemaker Antonio Sangueneti from Tuscany. Mr. Sangueneti poured six limited production vintages. I am not a fan of Italian wines per se they're a bit to tannic for me. So I wasn't quite sure how I was going to objectively write and get excited about all these Small Vineyards wines, let alone face the winemaker himself.

The Man Behind Wine Glasses

For some people the container from which wine is drunk is of little importance. They believe that having anything like a mug or a cup doesn't make any difference. Beef Stew

This is a flavorful beef stew that's easy to make. I have made it in a crock pot, on the stove and in the oven, depending on my time and the weather. I don't like a lot of meat in my stew, and I think this is enough, though my husband likes it with 3 lbs meat. I like to serve it as is in a bowl, or you can serve it on a plate with brown rice. -- posted by Pesto lover
